Single-segment speed run of Super Mario World, done on November 13 2007. Available in five versions: low/normal quality DivX, and normal/high/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Normal quality MP4 is video iPod compatible. Author's comments: Super Mario World is a great game for speedrunning. You can choose levels individually and as often as you like even if you've beaten them before, you can exit out of levels easily by pressing start and select, and you can get items quickly and store them in that... Single-segment speed run of Super Mario World, done on December 15 2007. Available in five versions: low/normal quality DivX, and normal/high/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: This is my fifth speedrun of Super Mario World, but it will be the first to be posted at Speed Demos Archive. Let's call this my penultimate effort; my next minimalist SMW run will likely be my last. There was a mistake in Star World 2 that cost about a second. Other than that, the run went near perfectly... In this movie I collected more coins, more marios and more points than Volkov. It is more interesting than my old movie. * uses warps * collects only necessary items * takes damage to save time * fastest way possible * Handles every situation the best possible favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite ( 1 reviews ) Topics: Mario: Super Mario World, Emulated run, tool-assisted speedrun, Super Nintendo

The last hit on Bowser takes place after 297,736 frames (82:42 minutes), so this is the actual time of completion. As the movie is so long, and even watching it in turbo mode still takes some time, I created a few savegames throughout the movie, which you can load if you watch the movie with "Open Read-Only"... favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite ( 2 reviews ) Topics: Mario: Super Mario World, Super Nintendo, Emulated run, tool-assisted speedrun
Submission: http://tasvideos.org/3413S.html Publication: http://tasvideos.org/1945M.html This is a completely new type of Super Mario World TAS. It beats the game by getting the "THE END" screen in the second level (Yoshi's Island 3). This happens because a glitch allowing Yoshi to eat "nothing" enables players to manipulate memory and code into bringing up the final screen of the game.
